とちあいか(Tochiaika)

こんにちは。
先日我が家に、栃木県に住んでいる親戚から、「とちあいか」といういちごが届きました。
最近ではスーパーでも見かけるようにはなりましたが、我が家では今まで食べたことがなかったため、どれどれ…と一口食べてびっくり。衝撃の甘さが全身を駆け巡りました。それでいてちょうどいい酸味も兼ね備えており、こんなに美味しいいちごは食べたことがないね、と、家族間では全会一致の感想でした。
その後、親戚にそのお店の名前を聞き、初めて食べた時から既に2回リピート購入しました。我が家内で、とちあいかブームが起こっています。

調べたところ、栃木県が権利者となり商標登録されていました(登録番号：第6232688号)。
「とちあいか」は、「“栃”木の“愛”される“果”実」を意味しているそうです。
ぜひ多くの人に広まって、とちあいかが盛り上がればいいなと思いました。皆様もぜひご賞味ください。

Recently, we received strawberries called “Tochiaika” from relatives who lives in Tochigi-ken, in Japan.
Although they can be found in supermarkets these days, we had never had them before, so we were surprised when we took a bite. Shocking sweetness ran through our bodies. I also liked well-balanced sourness. My family concluded that these were the best strawberries ever.
After that, we asked our relatives the name of the store, and we have already purchased two repeat purchases since the first time we tasted them. There is a Tochiaika fad going on in my family.

The trademark of “Tochiaika” is registered in Japan and Tochigi-ken is the owner of the trademark (registration number: No. 6232688).
Tochiaika means ‘beloved fruits in Tochigi-ken”.
I hope that Tochiaika will spread to many people and become more popular. Hopefully you can try it, too.
