野口英世生誕１５０周年 (150th anniversary of Hideo Noguchi’s birth)

皆さんこんにちは。弁理士の高橋です。
今年は野口英世生誕１５０周年とのことで、野口英世記念館に見学に行きました。
野口英世は、日本が貧しい時代、貧困と身体的ハンディキャップ（左手のハンディキャップ）を乗り越え立派な医者となり、医学の発展に大きく寄与した偉人です。
日本では、野口博士は、「努力と意志」および「人類および科学への献身」の象徴として、広く尊敬を集めている人物です。
また、野口博士は、前の日本の１０００円札にも印刷されていました。
我々弁理士も、日本の産業の発達に寄与することを使命としています。
野口博士には遠く及びませんが、私も、日本の産業の発達に寄与することを目指し、日々の業務に取り組んでいきたいと思います。

Hello, everyone. This is Takahashi, a patent attorney.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of Hideo Noguchi’s birth, so I visited the Hideo Noguchi Memorial Museum.
Hideo Noguchi was a great man who overcame poverty and a physical disability (a disability in his left hand) to become a distinguished physician and make significant contributions to the advancement of medicine during the time when Japan was poor.
In Japan, Dr. Noguchi is widely respected as a symbol of “effort and willpower” and “dedication to humanity and science.”
He was also featured on the former 1,000-yen bill.

We, patent attorney, have a mission to contribute the development of industry in Japan.
Although my contributions may be small, I will do my best to contribute the development of industry in Japan everyday.
